Now that we have had our clean-up day and much garbage was removed from the town (Thank you for helping to keep our towns clean) we ask that you refrain from putting large items out with your household garbage until after Labour Day.
The reason for this request is due to the large amount of regular garbage that will be produced over the summer with all the businesses around town open and more summer homes being open. Last summer a second truck had to be used on several occasions due to the large amount of garbage. We are hoping to avoid the use of second trucks this year as this would help to keep the garbage costs down for everyone.
I thank you in advance for your consideration of this matter and would like to advise that there will be a fall clean-up day after Labour Day.
