This year Bonne Bay Academy is participating in Walmart’s Plastic Bag Grab Challenge.
Ongoing until June 3rd, we are encouraging students and community members to send in their plastic shopping bags. By participating, the school will have the opportunity of winning a cash prize of up to $5000.00.
The bags can be dropped off to the school on a daily basis between 9 am and 3 pm (or at the Woody Point Town Hall between 8:30 am and 4:00 pm).
…
Please join us in this challenge, and help us do our part of keeping plastic bags out of the environment!!!
For more information please contact Ms. Oldford at the school.
Thank You,
Bonne Bay Academy.
Please post your information for recycling on your website.
Hi Paul,
Thanks for the reminder! I had meant to post this earlier…hope this helps. If you have any questions let me know.

Town Manager
Great news about the recycling program!
CONGRATS Jacqueline. My hope is that the town will be cleaned-up. The garbage
left in fields consisting of disabled vehicles and other things is not very attractive in
such a beautiful area. The hills and water are so relaxing and inviting . It would be
much more appealing to the tourists and the local residence. I am a former resident
and visit yearly. Wishing you all a great year and much success. L Dolmage
Thank you for your kind words about Woody Point. Clean-up around town is an ongoing issue that the council is addressing on a daily basis. We are actively promoting a cleaner and tidier town to all our residents. It is a beautiful area and we want to enhance on that beauty.
Regards,
Jacqueline
What time are the council meetings. I do not see it on the calendar.
Thank you.
Hi Bill, my apologies, the council meetings start at 7:00 pm. Thank you for pointing this out, I will add the start time to the new 2015 calendar.
Can you tell me what is recycled in Woody Point and where to take things? Thanks!
Hi Sandy,
At this time, we only recycle beverage containers, excluding milk containers. You can drop them off at the rink door (as a donation) and we will take care of it from there.
